A REFURBISHED Co-op store on Anglesey is set to to open to the public on Friday, following a £2m makeover.
The store in Benllech, which has been doubled in size thanks to the works, has been moved into the former doctor's surgery on Bangor Road.
The store will be officially unveiled on Friday, but locals will see work continue to take place until early May while the former (smaller) store is taken down and the space is made into a dedicated customer car park to serve the new, larger, store.
The new store – which is currently recruiting in readiness for increased seasonal trade – has a bakery, Costa coffee dispenser, and an increased range of fresh, healthy foods, meal ideas, award winning wines and essentials.
A Spokesperson for Co-op, said: “We are delighted to make such a further significant investment in North Wales – we would also like to thank customers for their patience during the extensive programmes of work.
“The stores have a great new look in order to serve the needs of our local community."
