A HOSPICE shop on Anglesey has relocated last week.

Staff and volunteers were joined by the local Menai Bridge community to celebrate the unveiling of the new St. David's Hospice building in the small Town.

Earlier this year, Hospice at Home, Gwynedd and Anglesey proudly announced that they had completed a merger with St David’s Hospice.

As a result, the Menai Bridge shop has now relocated from Uxbridge Street across the road to the High Street.

The ribbon was cut by Mrs Pat Brooke, Hospice trustee who has been a long-standing voluntary member of the Board with the Hospice at Home, Gwynedd and Anglesey charity for over 28 years.

"Our Charity Shops are a huge source of income to the work of the Hospice," Mrs Brooke said.

"The local community has been so supportive over the years both with donations and in providing a dedicated band of volunteers who give so generously of their time and energy. Thank you all and please continue your great work.”

The organisation has 25 shops across Anglesey, Gwynedd and Conwy and are a vital source of income for the charity. The money raised helps provide deliver free, high-quality, specialist palliative care to patients with advanced illnesses, their family and carers from North West Wales.
