MEMBERS of the North Wales Young Dragons group set out to collect some money for a good cause on St. David's Day.
The Marie Curie Community Fundraiser event saw youngsters from Rhyl, Abergele, Denbigh and Prestatyn turn up to help collect donations for the St. David's Day Daffodil Appeal, which has been raising money for the Marie Curie charity since 1986.
Young Dragons/Dreigiau Ifanc is a collective name for the uniformed youth groups and young volunteers. They raised a so far unconfirmed total on behalf of Marie Curie.
The North Wales Co-ordinator, Gerry Frobisher said "Nine Young Dragons/Dreigiau Ifanc, from Prestatyn, Meliden, Rhyl, Denbigh and Abergele, joined eight volunteers from Marie Curie Cancer Care, to carry out a six hour street collection in Prestatyn as part of the annual St David’s Day Daffodil Appeal.
"We would like to say a big thanks to all Young Dragons and Marie Curie supporters who came out to collect."
