NO LESS than 33 goals were scored in just four Rhyl & District Sunday League games this weekend.

Bottom side Diane's Cars fell to a heavy 2-12 defeat at home to third placed Royal Oak. Ross Williams and Jayden Fallon were on target for the home side but goals from Josh Brown (2), Martin King (2), Matty Reece (3), Sam Stopforth (2), Saeed Jones, Ricky Roberts and Danny Roach handed The Royal a convincing victory.

In the other league game, second placed The Alex hammered Sun Inn 10-3. Having been 5-1 up at half time, the home team secured the three points thanks to Dan Roberts (4), Dave Maddocks (2), Ajay Darwin, Dean Roberts, Mike Williams and Rhys Lane's first goal in over 20 years. Aaron Hoyle, Luke Smith and James Roberts were on target for the visitors.

Elsewhere, FC Mally reached yet another final with a hard-fought 3-2 win at Bar Bow in the NWCFA Challenge Cup.

The visitors took the lead through Kevin Colville before Bar Bow equalised via a Kelvin Berks goal. Ant Parry and Lee Ellis then put Mally in charge of the game and 3-1 up before Shane Thomas pulled a consolation goal back for the Rhyl-based hosts.

FC Prestatyn will be joining them in the final after a 20th minute penalty dispatched by Luke Elden was enough to see them beat Swan Inn 1-0.

Next weekend's fixtures as follows:

Lee Jones Memorial Cup (Second Leg) - Bar Bow v FC Mally (2-0 on aggregate)

Rhyl & District Sunday League - Swan Inn v Towyn Rangers
