THE man who died in Friday's crash at Minffordd has been named as Philip Thomas Hickman from the Caernarfon area.

North Wales Police attended a crash on the A487 at Minffordd, Gwynedd on Friday morning at around 10.30am.

The casualty was airlifted to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd following the collision, but sadly later died.

Now police are appealing for any information about a red Mitsubishi Shogun travelling on the Porthmadog bypass to the roundabout at Minffordd, at the time of the accident.

Sergeant Emlyn Hughes from North Wales Police, said:

“Our deepest sympathies are with the family of Mr Hickman.

"Family Liaison Officers are currently with his family and the coroner has been informed.

“To assist with the investigation, we are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a red Mitsubishi Shogun travelling on the Porthmadog bypass to the roundabout at Minffordd yesterday morning around the time of the collision."
