POLICE officers investigating Holyhead shop burglary have released CCTV images of a male they want to question in connection with the incident.

A window was smashed and cigarettes stolen when two unknown males gained entry into Ponthwfa Stores, on South Stack Road, during the early hours of Tuesday, February 5.

Investigating Officer, PC Marcia Hughes, said: “We’ve released CCTV images of a male we’d like to speak to in connection with the incident.

"Anybody who may recognise him or who may have information regarding the incident is asked to contact us immediately.”

A 16-year-old local youth was arrested the following day on suspicion of burglary and theft, and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

House to house enquiries have been carried out in the area and the investigation is ongoing.
