POLICE have voiced their disgust over the "totally unacceptable" conduct of a man they say spat at staff at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor as well as at police officers.

The North Wales Police Bangor and Bethesda Twitter account (@NWPBangor) has described the man's conduct early during their Sunday morning shift as "unbelievable".

The man, who has not been named, was arrested by police.

They said nursing staff "were sworn and spat at" and added: "Officer arrested a man who continued to spit at officers."

Police stated that the man had abused "people working for the benefit of our community".

They said this type of conduct "is totally unacceptable".
