North Wales Police are asking motorists to avoid the area.
THE B4417 road in Gwynedd is currently closed due to an accident.
Motorists are being told to avoid the area between Pistyll and Llithfaen for the time being.
Police say they received a call at 15.46 to respond to a Road Traffic Collision between a Ford and a Citroen.
It is not yet clear whether anyone was injured during the incident but the Welsh Ambulance Service team has confirmed that an emergency ambulance is currently at the scene.
