CLOSURE Orders have been slapped on four Bangor properties after they were associated with anti-social and drug releated behaviour

The homes, owned by Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd, are on the Maesgeirchen estate.

They have been closed for three months from today, Thursday February 7.

The Closure Orders at Flats 2, 4, 6 and 14 Plas Glyndwr on Tan y Bryn Road were granted at Caernarfon Magistrates Court following an application by North Wales Police.

Evidence that the properties were associated with "drug related anti-social behaviour over a prolonged period of time was delivered to the court by the Gwynedd North Police Safer Neighbourhood

Two of the Closure Orders permit only the named occupant to remain; the other two properties have been closed in full allowing only police officers and CCG officials access for the next months.

Inspector Jon Aspinall said: “We are currently attending Plas Glyndwr on a regular basis, at all times of day and night.

"This order demonstrates that we have listened to the concerns of those living in neighbouring properties and it sends out a message to those individuals who wish to engage in acts of criminality within the community, that their actions are having a major impact and disrupting the peaceful lives of innocent members of the public.

"We will continue to take action against those who engage in such activity and in doing so, disrupt the lives of others within the community."
