AFTER a cold, bright start with any freezing fog patches slowly dispersing, the Met Office predicts it will turn increasingly cloudy through the course of the day.

This may bring little rain this afternoon, perhaps snow over the hills bit it should not be as cold as of late with a maximum temperature of 9°C.

It should turn increasingly wet and windy through the evening and overnight. The rain could be heavy at times, particularly over the hills, though tending to ease a little by Monday morning. A minimum temperature of 1 °C is anticipated.

Monday should start cloudy with some rain at first. It will turn drier and brighter through the day, with some sunshine developing. Winds should ease by the afternoon. It will be less cold with a maximum temperature of 10 °C.

The outlook for Tuesday to Thursday anticipates a frosty start on Tuesday, then turning wet and windy from the west. It should stay unsettled on Wednesday and Thursday with heavy showers and longer spells of rain. Temperatures should be around average.
