A woman accused of burglary at a jewellers had sustained a suspected fracture of the eye socket in a robbery next day at a store at Pwllheli, it was claimed at a special court on Saturday.

In the dock at Llandudno appeared 44 years old Mairwen Owen, who magistrates heard would deny charges of burglary at the jewellers in Penlan Street, Pwlheli on Monday then on Tuesday robbery at a store called Bits and Bobs where it was alleged she and another woman were hurt.

The second woman is in hospital with a suspected fractured skull and other injuries but when discharged is to face identical charges, prosecutor Nia Lloyd told the court.

There was no application for bail by Owen, of Pendalar, Caernarfon, who entered no formal plea.

She was sent to Caernarfon crown court where she will appear next month.
