The first snowflakes of 2019 have begun falling in Flintshire and Wrexham on Friday morning.

Wrexham and Flintshire are experiencing the first glimpses of a 2019 winter wonderland, and though it may not be as heavy as mid and south Wales, forecasters do predict it's here to stay.

The Met Office have issued the yellow "be aware" warning for parts of north Wales from 8am until 1pm.

Forecasters have said there was likely to be a few hours where 2-4cm of snow which could accumulate on roads above 250m.
