PLANS for a number of new flats have been submitted.
A planning application received by Flintshire Council requests permission to create a two storey building to accommodate four one-bedroom flats in Plough Lane, Aston.
The application explains that the proposed development site is currently used as a garden.
A design and access statement submitted with the scheme reads: “The development is to provide affordable housing in an area of mixed development of houses and flats.
“The appearance will be the same as neighbouring properties.
“A single private car parking space is proposed for each of the flats, given that they are one bedroom units and enjoy a sustainable location close to a bus service.
“The proposed development would regenerate the site. Furthermore, the residents of the proposed flats would provide additional surveillance which could only improve community safety within the local area.”
The document adds that the scheme ‘would cause no harm to the living conditions of nearby residents’.
