BANGOR is getting ready to celebrate the start of a new year.
The Confucius Institute at Bangor University is holding its annual Dragon parade and Chinese Gala to welcome the Chinese Lunar New Year, the Year of the Earth Pig!
The vibrant community-based parade will include traditional Dragon dance, accompanied by drummers, Chinese dancers and pupils from Our Lady’s school, Bangor.
The parade will be followed by a glittering performances of Chinese music, song, dance and marital arts.
The dragon parade will leave Bangor Cathedral at noon and make its way along the High Street to the Town Clock and back again, with the gala taking place inside the Cathedral from 12.30pm until 2pm, all free of charge.
Mark your calendar and join in on Saturday, February 9, 2019, 12pm.
