RESIDENTS of Anglesey and Gwynedd enjoyed a range of family fun activities on New year's day.
Despite some chilly weather, several people turned up to bravely take a dip in the seas.
People at Newry Beach in Holyhead, at Moelfre and Abersoch beach in Gwynedd, raised funds for their respective RNLI teams.

In Trearddur Bay, an unusual space hopper race was held as people of all ages bounced their way towards the finish line.
In Beaumaris, a total of £320 was raised for the Welsh Air Ambulance through a tug of war competition and a tractor pulling event.
A spectacular fireworks display was also held in the town as families brought 2019 in with a countdown.
Speaking about the Newry beach dip, Holyhead Mayor Cllr Keith Thomas said: "Congratulations to everyone involved in organising these events and all you brave souls who took the plunge at the annual New Year dip at Newry Beach.
"I was cold just watching you but it was a great start to 2019!"
