POLICE are appealing for information following a fail to stop collision in Bangor which left a female seriously injured.

Officers were called to Glynne Road, to a report of an incident involving a car and a pedestrian at 7.44pm, on Monday night.

The vehicle involved left the location.

An ambulance was called and the injured person was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd with serious injuries.

She remains in hospital at this time however her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Enquiries are underway including looking at CCTV images however officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Raymond Williams of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing for anybody who may have been in the area of Glynne Road and the High Street around the time of the collision to contact us.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and anybody who may have seen the vehicle, which is believed to be a dark coloured vehicle, possibly a Ford Mondeo or similar, is asked to contact us as soon as possible.”
