RESIDENTS of a Gwynedd Town took to Twitter to seek help in turning their power supply back on.
Large parts of Caernarfon in the LL54 and LL55 postcode area have been without electric for the past few hours this afternoon/evening.
Many of the people living in those areas, which includes Wesley Street, seemed to have tweeted several energy network companies to try and resolve the problem.
Eventually, it paid off as SP Energy Networks responded, saying: "We are aware of a powercut in LL54 and LL55 parts of Caernarfon.
"Our engineers are making their way to site and will work to restore the supplies"
Scottish Power described the situation as an “unexpected fault”.
A statement on their website read: “Monitoring systems on our network have alerted us to an unexpected fault affecting a number of customers over a wide area. We apologise for the inconvenience caused, our emergency response teams have been notified.”
People in the Tafarn-Y-Porth Wetherspoons in Caernarfon were reportedly told to evacuate the building due to "health and safety" reasons.
Engineers are currently working hard to restore electrical supply throughout the Town and the issue has now been resolved in most affected areas.
