A VARIETY of crafted items will be available at Rhuddlan's Christmas Tree Festival.

St Mary's Parish Church is hosting the seasonal celebration.

Doors will open on Friday, November 30 from 1.30pm until 5pm and Saturday, December 1 from 10am until 3pm when there will also be an artisan fair.

The festival is also open on Sunday, December 2 from 11am until 2pm.

The "tremendous" tree fest will feature imaginative entries from school, nurseries, youth and community groups, businesses and individuals.

Father Christmas will be making a special appearance and will be setting up in his grotto along with his elves. He will be in attendance between 1.30pm and 4.30pm on Friday, between 1pm and 3pm on Saturday and 11am to 3pm on Sunday.

Visitors can bring their teddies along on Sunday for a ride of Santa's zip wire.

Entry is free and attendees can vote for their favourite tree for 50p. There will be a raffle and children's games and bakers will be on hand to tempt residents with refreshments.
