A SEX pest takeaway manager from Libya whose teenage victim said she had tried to kill herself received an eight weeks suspended jail term from magistrates on Thursday.

Abdassalam Ehbair, 38, who had studied for a PhD in chemistry at Bangor University and now lives in Newport Road, Cardiff, pleaded guilty to sexual touching.

He was accused of kissing the girl, touching her bottom and squeezing her breasts.

The court at Caernarfon heard the disgraced married dad accepted he behaved “entirely wrongly.”

Magistrates’ chairman Gwilym Morgan told Ehbair :"You sexually assaulted a vulnerable young victim.”

A four-month 7pm-7am curfew was imposed under a community order and he must pay £200 compensation and £265 costs.

Ehbair, whose solicitor Glyn Roberts said had received a grant from immigration authorities, must register as a sex offender for seven years.
