FIREWORK celebrations got off with a big bang in Beaumaris.
It is thought that 2-3,000 people flooded into the town for the postponed Guy Fawkes night entertainment on Saturday.
The activities had been set for Saturday, November 3 but had been held over due to bad weather.
A giant bonfire of pallets blazed on the beach whilst a half-hour firework display, set off from the end of the pier, thrilled crowds, and included special fireworks which danced on the sea.
Stirring tunes such as the Dambusters March and the William Tell Overture accompanied the dramatic display which lit up the night sky and the Menai Strait.
There were also numerous food stall s on the Green and live music with acoustic trio Miv, Kev and Dave.
Beaumaris Mayor Cllr Jason Zalot said: "Thanks to everyone who came, it was a tremendous success and went brilliantly. We've had so many comments from people.
"Each year Beaumaris bonfire and fireworks night gets better and better."
"Though, we are always keen to hear from anyone who has ideas for next year."
All the money raised this year will go towards next year's fireworks.
