NORTH Wales Police's Rural Crime Team has received reports of a sheep being attacked in Gwynedd.
The incident occurred in the Fron area near Rhosgadfan recently.
The female Texel breed sheep was wounded during the attack but survived.
Rural Crime Team members are urging residents to "not let their dogs escape" in that particular area.
"The sheep survived the attack against all expectation," A spokesperson said.
"She may have been helped by the company that the farmer gave her while she recovered."
