NORTH Wales Police are appealing for information following the discovery of military ordnance in the grounds of St Mwrog's Church, Llanfwrog.
A police statement issued from the force on Saturday evening had reassured the public there was "no cause for concern" as searches were carried out.
Chief Supt Nigel Harrison said; “We can confirm that ordnance was recovered from this rural location by the military Explosive Ordnance Disposal, (EOD), which appears to have been there for some time.
“The items will now be subject to forensic examination and our investigation will continue into how they came to be there.
“We undertook a full search of the surrounding area following the discovery to make sure there were no other items.”
