A TEENAGE boy who saved his father from drowning off the coast of Anglesey is set to be honoured at the Pride of Britain awards.
Joe Rowlands, 14, from Cheshire has been given the Teenager of Courage award after he dived into the sea to save his father Paul, who had got into difficulty near Ynys Dulas after his kayak capsized.
Firefighter Paul had passed out during the incident on February 22 and says his son had to drag him onto rocks and revive him.

The pair were then rescued after wife and mother Julie Ann raised the alarm.
After about two hours, the pair were helped to safety by rescuers, including a coastguard helicopter crew and RNLI lifeboat volunteers.
Joe will be receiving his award during Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, which will be shown on ITV on November 6 at 8pm.
