A MAN was arrested after drugs warrants were executed on an estate in Menai Bridge.

Anglesey officers executed two warrants on Tyddyn Mostyn Estate on Thursday under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

As a result a man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs and a large quantity of cannabis.

A smaller amount of controlled drugs was seized.

Police have confirmed the man has since been released, pending further enquiries.

Sgt 2691 Chris Burrow said: "We want to reassure the people of Anglesey that we are taking positive action. By conducting these warrants our aim is to cause disruption to the trade in illegal drugs across the area."

"Our goal of targeting those who cause the most harm will continue and in line with the forces' Operation Scorpion, is directly targeting those involved in serious and organised crime."

He added: "These types of warrants would not be possible without the support and assistance of the local communities. I appeal to anyone with information linked to drugs supply of any kind to make contact with us. We will always treat any information in the upmost confidence."
