A youth who has just had his 18th birthday was remanded in custody at a special weekend court accused of being in possession of a scythe-like implement in a public place.
Thomas Morgan Lloyd of Cefn Gwyn, Trawsfynydd, pleaded not guilty to having a bladed article at Trawsfynydd on Thursday but magistrates ruled the case should be tried at the crown court.
David Mainstone, prosecuting at Llandudno, said the charge arose from an alleged incident at and outside his home.
Carla Forfar, defending, said there was no suggestion there had been a confrontation.
Lloyd will appear at Caernarfon crown court on October 15.
