A 25-year-old man accused of sending 60 texts and making 13 missed calls to a woman when banned by a restraining order was jailed for eight weeks yesterday(FRI).

Damien Marks, who gave his address as a Bangor probation hostel, had made contact because he wanted his Xbox back from the victim, magistrates at Llandudno heard.

He claimed she and her new partner were using his Xbox games account.

“The conversation did go quite a bit further than that,” conceded defence solicitor Bethan Williams. She said the probation service had recalled Marks to prison.

Sentencing him, court chairwoman Daphne Roberts told Marks :”This breach was committed on the day of release from prison and threats were involved.”

He pleaded guilty to breaching the order at Caernarfon. The prosecution said he had been jailed originally for false imprisonment.
