COLEG Menai’s annual Freshers’ Fair took place this week.
Staff and representatives from local organisations extending a warm welcome to hundreds of new students to the Bangor and Llangefni campuses.
Many local and national businesses, clubs and charities attended to discuss possible volunteering opportunities with students.
The likes of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Mantell Gwynedd and Pontio all attended the event, among many others.
Representatives from the college’s Student Welfare Team, Library Service and Student Unions offered advice on everything from finance and transport to sports academies, and Careers Wales were there to offer assistance on future career opportunities.
Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s learner services student enrichment officer, Sarah Wynn, said: "These fairs give us the chance to welcome our new students properly and give them the chance to join clubs, make friends and make those all-important connections with local organisations.
"Freshers’ Fair is a great way to kick-start the new academic year on a positive note, and gives the students a clear view of the opportunities and the support available to them."
Many courses at Coleg Menai are full to the brim already, but a select few still have availability.
