A PENMAENMAWR couple captured these engaging images of porpoises at play in the waters off the north eastern coast of Anglesey.
Gay and Brian Hughes were enjoying an island stroll, when they spotted a large pod of porpoises in the sea on Wednesday afternoon.
"We were at Port Lynas around 2pm-3.30pm. There was about six or seven Harbour Porpoises," said Mrs Hughes.
"Whenever we saw gannets dive, the porpoises appeared as if they were feeding on the same fish.
"One of the porpoises was bigger with a fin that looked a bit like a shark, but apparently that was another type. My husband Brian Hughes took the photos."
The couple, who are in their 60, are regular walkers on the island.
They posted their pictures on Facebook's North Wales Dolphin and Porpoise Sightings site.
