A NEW Starbucks cafe was launched in Gwynedd last week.
On Friday, August 3, the drive-thru coffee shop was unveiled at the Llandygai one-stop service station just outside Bangor.
Between Friday and Sunday, customers were invited to enjoy a free "tall handcrafted beverage".
Plans to unveil a Starbucks shop between Deiniol and Sackville Road in Bangor were rejected by Gwynedd Council last year following strong opposition and protests led by Hywel Williams MP.
The Llandygai coffee shop was due to be completed at the end of 2016, but was also delayed due to plans being rejected.
In April 2017, the Euro Garages company finally gained approved planning permission for the Starbucks Drive Thru to be built on site.
The new store will be open every day of the week.
