A MAN has been arrested following a three-vehicle crash in Brynrefail which left four people in hospital.

A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, drink driving and failing to stop.

A motorist was left with serious injuries following the crash which took place on the A4244 near Caernarfon, on Sunday afternoon.

The three-vehicle collision involved a black coloured VW Golf, a Mazda MX5 and Nissan Duke.

The four people involved in the accident were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital in Bangor.

The driver of the Nissan Duke has since been transferred to Stoke Hospital with serious injuries.

Police were called to the scene of the accident at around 3pm on Sunday afternoon and emergency services also attended.

Although a man has been arrested, police are still appealing for witnesses who may be able to help them piece together what happened during the accident.
