FIREFIGHTERS are continuing to tackle a blaze which has broken out on Holyhead mountain.
Four crews are currently at the scene as they continue to quell the fire which started at around 10.30am on Sunday evening.
Huge flames and thick smoke could be seen coming from the hillside as the fire spread.
It is believed to have covered around 5,000 sq m of grassland.
Pictures circling on social media show that the blaze has died down considerably since last night but firefighters are currently at the scene to ensure that it is dealt with.
The incident on Holyhead mountain is the latest in a series of wildfires spreading throughout north Wales with Bangor and Carmel being just two of the other places that have been affected in the past fortnight.
