A BURGLAR left behind property that police believe had been stolen elsewhere when he burgled a house in Caernarfon.

North Wales Police are now renewing an appeal to identify the man who burgled a house in Hendre Street, back in April, leaving behind an iPad Pro in a black leather case, and a large glass jar containing coins.

Investigating Officer PC Anna Jolley, at Caernarfon Police Station, said: "At about 4.15am, on Friday, April 6, a burglar was disturbed in the hallway of a house in Hendre Street, Caernarfon. He then immediately fled empty handed towards Segontium Road South before heading down an alleyway which leads to Beulah Square, with the householder in pursuit."

The burglar, was described as a white male, 6ft tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black jacket with writing on the back, possibly ‘Chang,’ black trousers, and a black woolly hat left behind a white iPad Pro in a black leather case, and a large glass jar containing various coinage.

PC Jolley added: “Despite a number of enquiries, we still need to identify the suspect or the owner of the property left behind and so I’d like to hear from anyone who either lives in the area or was in the area at the time and has any CCTV or dash-cam footage which may contain images of the offender. Clearly we are also interested in anyone who recognises the Ipad and glass jar and I’d ask they contact us immediately."
