AN INQUEST has been opened following a fatal crash near Dolwyddelan.
Warrington resident Andrew Tunnicliff, of Shoreham Drive in Penketh, died on May 28 on the A470 at the Roman Bridge, between Betws-y-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Opening an inquest into his death John Gittins, coroner for North Wales East and Central, said that 53-year-old Mr Tunnicliff had been riding a motorbike which had collided with another vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries.
A post mortem examination found the provisional cause of death was consistent with the collision and the injuries, Mr Gittins said. He adjourned the hearing to a full inquest to be held at a future date.
