A 24 year old Lleyn man sent to prison on motoring charges also pleaded guilty to burglary and will appear for sentence at crown court next month.

Gareth Wyn Jones of Lon Isaf, Morfa Nefyn, admitted ten charges at a special court at Llandudno on Monday.

The 12-week jail sentence was for driving when banned on the A487 at Porthmadog in the early morning of April 15, with a concurrent term and a three year disqualification for being behind the wheel when over the drink drive limit. He also took his brother’s vehicle without consent and had no insurance or MoT certificate, for which there were no separate penalties, but £115 costs must be paid.

He will appear at Caernarfon crown court on June 22 for sentence for a house burglary in Abererch Road, Pwllheli on May 20, for driving on the A497 at Pwllheli when banned, using a fuel card fraudulently at Betws y Coed, and taking a vehicle without consent and with no insurance.

His solicitor Bethan Williams told magistrates: "Clearly alcohol is an issue."
