A MAN in his early 20s has died after being rescued from the sea at Rhosneigr.
Police were alerted at about 8.15pm on Tuesday after the man’s body was recovered from the water where he had been swimming with friends.
The man, who is not from the area, was taken by air ambulance to Ysbyty Gwynedd but despite the efforts of his friends and medical staff, he died a short time later.
The man, who is not from the area, has been identified but not named at this time to allow further family members to be informed.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner for north west Wales has been informed.
