AMATEUR historians will get a chance to share research and show their historical artefacts at a special event on Anglesey.
The Welsh-medium session will take place at Llangefni library on Monday, May 21, from 5pm-7pm and is aimed at historians of all ages.
It includes input from experts in research and the Welsh Wikipedia.
The WiciMôn Project has been working with the library to distribute information on to the open encyclopaedia, Wicipedia (the Welsh Wikipedia).
Workshops have been held on the island and Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni sixth formers, have been contributing content to the free website.
One of the aims of the project is to raise the profile of the Welsh language.
Aaron Morris, WiciMôn’s project officer, said: “Information and old photographs are powerful tools to take us back in time. The session will enable the community to preserve memories into Wicipedia – the Welsh version of Wikipedia.l
Bethan Hughes Jones, lifelong learning co-ordinator for Anglesey County Council, said: “It’s great to see young people interested and see value in the items we have.’’
