TICKETS for a popular Gwynedd-based theatre company’s latest production are on sale now and selling out quickly.

The multi award-winning Cwmni Theatr Bara Caws’ new show, Brecshit, promises to bring a night full of laughter and entertainment to various venues around the country.

Co-written by the cast and director, John Glyn Owen, the show will tour clubs and village halls in Wales up until June 2.

The show follows the story of Doris Morris and her family, who have been farming for generations, but following the Brexit referendum, have had to find alternative means of making ends meet.

She decides to run a therapeutic clinic, but can this new business venture keep the wolf from the door?

Linda Brown, company member said: “There is always great excitement with our club shows. Our last one toured two years ago and so I think our audiences are really looking forward to this new production.

“It’s nice to know that many of the tour venues have already sold all their tickets beforehand.”

The actors involved in the productionare Iwan Charles, Llyr Evans, Gwenno Elis Hodgkins and Manon Elis.

This will be the first time for Manon (whose face is familiar on S4C Welsh language series Rownd a Rownd) to appear in one of Bara Caws’ productions.

The production promises to be an evening full of laughs in the company of a host of colourful characters and commenced at Caernarfon Football Club on May 1. The production will tour for five weeks around community venues such as clubs and community halls etc., with the last night at Neuadd Buddug, Y Bala on June 2.

It is a Welsh-language production but highly visual, and an English summary will be available.

Theatr Bara Caws first pioneered a Welsh language ‘Club Show’ in 1986. Satirical, irreverent, always pushing boundaries, they’ve been a great draw ever since.
