HEAVY snowfall closed schools and created hazardous conditions for motorists across north Wales today (Thursday.).
The Met Office issued another yellow "be aware" warning, less than a week since extreme snow and icy conditions brought many areas to a standstill.
North Wales Police put out snow hazard warnings this morning on social media and motorists were advised to be careful as snow fell heavily particularly on the A487 Bangor /Caernarfon to Portmadog, the A499 Portmadog to Pwllheli and the 55 Halkyn and Bangor areas.
North Wales Roads Policing Units also warned drivers to fully clear windscreen of snow and ice before setting off after publishing an image of a van stopped at Bryncir
Across Gwynedd, Anglesey, Denbighshire, Flintshire, and Conwy some 121 schools were shut.
Many bus services were affected and gritters were out in force on many routes across the region.
