A BANGOR boozer is joining thousands of pubs and bars across the UK in what is thought to be the world’s biggest pub quiz.
The Castle will be raising money for charity by taking part in the ‘World’s Biggest Pub Quiz,’ on Thursday, March 8.
The event is being organised by Pub Aid.
Over 50,000 quizzers in 2,000 venues raised £200,000 for 800 charities in 2016 and 2017. Some 2,100 pubs are already signed up
Head of marketing for the Stonegate Pub Company which owns the Castle, Derek Avington said: "Every year pubs raise a huge amount of cash for charities, and bring people together in many ways. The benefit of pubs can be under estimated."
Pub Aid has partnered with Prostate Cancer UK in 2018 and encourages entrants to raise cash for their chosen charity, but to consider supporting Prostate Cancer UK.
