TWO women have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision near Bangor.
North Wales Police received a call at 9.06am this morning reporting a collision between a lorry and a Vauxhall Corsa, following which one lane of the A55 westbound was closed at 9.22am.
Traffic Wales confirmed shortly before 11am that the road had reopened.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "Shortly after 9am this morning, one of our patient care service vehicles came across a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the westbound carriageway of the A55 in the Treborth area of Bangor.
"We sent two emergency ambulances to the scene, and two females were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd."
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said it is believed the lorry collided with the back of the car.
