PRESTATYN Town have signalled their intentions for next season by snapping up former Rhyl star Lee Hunt.

The striker, who enjoyed cult-hero status in his two spells at Belle Vue, arrives at Bastion Gardens after helping Bangor City retain the Welsh Cup in a brief spell at Farrar Road.

Hunt, 28, has continually proved his worth by netting more than 100 Welsh Premier League goals and he enjoyed a spell in the Blue Square Premier League with Barrow.

His arrival at Prestatyn means he is now set to team-up again with Andy Moran, with the pair regularly on the scoresheet together in their days at Rhyl.

Speaking on the club’s official website, Hunt outlined the excitement he felt at signing for Neil Gibson’s increasingly ambitious outfit.

He said: "I am looking forward to linking up with Neil's team and playing a part in helping the club realise its ambitions.

"The set-up here at Prestatyn is first class and I am excited about what the new season will bring and I'm looking forward to pre-season.”

The Seasiders have seen the vast majority of their established players agree terms to remain at Bastion Gardens next year, with more exciting signings expected in the coming weeks
