THE Gods of the ancient world will be looking down on the open stage at Theatr Clwyd as their mythologies are returned to everyday life.
An international award-winning poetic duo from the Flanagan Collective will take to the stage in Mold to deliver their raucous, soulful piece of storytelling and music that tie our day-to-day lives with the mythologies of ancient times.
The Gods of the Gods explores how we are always searching for help and are often able to find it not only within ourselves but in the people that surround us.
The ethereal performance is destined to be full of English spoken word, heavy beats, big bass lines and a soaring mix of electronica, jazz and soul.
The Flanagan Collective’s previous work included Orpheus, Eurydice and The Odyssey with shows in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Bali and New York.
London theatre critic Everything Theatre said the Flanagan Collective offers “a sweaty storm of mesmerising poetry and music” while Australian reviewer Fourth Wall Media described them as ‘masters of storytelling’.
The one-hour-40-minute performance takes place on the Theatr Clwyd forecourt from 8pm on Saturday and Sunday, October 3-4.
