TRELAWNYD'S annual folk festival will no longer take place this July.

However, Folk at the Hall (FATH) will still celebrate it's ninth year in 2020 - with a one day autumn event dubbed Folk in the Fall in November.

A spokesperson for FATH said: "To ensure that we celebrate FATH in some way this year we will be putting on an afternoon/evening event on Saturday, November 28 headlined by the mighty Manran.

"We're also delighted to say that Kitty Macfarlane, Blair Dunlop, Hannah Rarity and The Goat Roper Rodeo Band were able to swap to the November date as well.

"We recognise that a lot of you have already booked your tickets and we have a couple of options for you. We can offer a refund or we can move the tickets over to 2021.

"We had planned to celebrate our 10th year in style which meant the budget for musicians and extras was much higher. Due to this and the fact that we are we are unfunded the ticket price is significantly higher for 2021.

"We are happy to move your ticket to next year with no additional charge. If you have booked a day ticket we can also move those tickets over or we can offer you a ticket to the November event.

"Festivals are definitely struggling at the moment with many already spending on their events this year. Passing your tickets over really helps us to ensure we can continue the festival in the future. We will be dropping all ticket holders and e-mail so please do keep an eye out."
