ICONIC band Toploader will be heading to Denbighshire later this year.

They will be appearing at Rhyl's Pavilion Theatre in a special 20th anniversary live show this summer.

The Dancing in the Moonlight singers are gearing up for an exciting year celebrating the 20-year anniversary since the release of their debut album Onka's Big Moka.

The band will be at the Pavilion Theatre on Saturday, May 30.

With over 82.2 million streams on Spotify in 2019, the album featured a string of top-20 singles including global hit Dancing in the Moonlight, which spent over a year in European airplay charts, and the critically acclaimed fans favourite Achilles Heel.

The total streams for the album now exceeds 200 million, making them one of the UK’s most listened to bands.

The set at Rhyl Pavilion will include all the singles from the Onka's Big Moka, which sold over two million copies and remained in the top-five of the UK album chart for over six months, earning them four Brit Award nominations, plus some of the band's favourite tracks and a few classic covers.

Singer Joe Washbourn said: “We wanted to create a live set that has people on their feet dancing from start to the finish.

"We can’t wait to get out and play these songs this coming summer!”

With a reputation as the ultimate crowd-pleasing live band, Toploader have backed the likes of Paul Weller, Robbie Williams, Noel Gallagher, Tom Jones, Simple Minds and Bon Jovi, where they became the last British band to play the original Wembley Stadium.

Fresh from appearing at a host of festivals, including Glastonbury, V-Festival, T in the Park and Chris Evans’ carfest, Rhyl is set for a night to remember.

Tickets are on sale from the Pavilion Theatre box office on 01745 330000 or on the website at www.rhylpavilion.co.uk.

All tickets are £20.
