IT'S starting to feel a lot like Christmas in Ruthin!
There are plenty of events organised in the town in anticipation of the big day.
Turning to this Friday, December 6 and the Clwyd committee of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) Cymru / Wales has organised a carol concert.
This will be held at Ruthin Farmers Auction Co Ltd, starting at 7.30pm.
RABI is a grant-giving welfare charity that helps farming people in financial need.
This year’s Ysgol Pen Barras PTA Christmas fair will take place on Saturday, December 7 (10am-12pm).
During the morning, people can meet Father Christmas, play games, decorate biscuits, a raffle, a bottle tombola and a toy tombola.
Among the stalls will be food and drink, local crafts, cakes, mystery jam jars, Christmas jumpers and pyjamas.
Saturday will also witness a Christmas fayre at the Mill Childcare Centre, in Ruthin, which will start at 11am.
There is also a major boost in the town, with Denbighshire County Council’s festive free parking scheme until December 31.
To encourage more people to use their local high street for shopping in the run up to Christmas and the New Year, free parking will be available in council-run town centre car parks from 3pm every day.
The Free After Three initiative is available in the Crispin Yard, Dog Lane, Market Street, Park Road, Rhos Street, St Peter's Square and Troed y Rhiw car parks.
