A RHYL venue will hold two events this weekend in memory of a Rhyl man who was killed while on holiday in Tenerife earlier this year.
The North Bar, on Wellington Road is seeking to raise funds for defibrillator units for the Rhyl town centre and for the Adeje region of the island, where Michael died, with A Night of Techno on Saturday, November 16.
A carpentry apprentice who had moved to London, Michael, 23, died on Thursday, August 22 at the University Hospital Nuestra Senora de La Candelaria in Santa Cruz after being attacked in a street.
Hi everyone just a quick note about this event
when our friend Michael passed away suddenly we didn't know how to help
after speaking to his close friend jared smith went to the family and came back with this
our goal is to raise enough funds to fit a defibrillator in Rhyl town center not sure where yet will be speaking to the council about it
also we are trying to raise enough to buy two one for rhyl and one the town where Michael sadly died
also a plaque in memory of Michael.
Defibrillator’s don’t come cheap, so Steve Rastin will also be hosting a band night Friday 15th November.
We have a friend of Michael’s joining us Joe Evans it’s his first time playing out, so it would be amazing if you could come support us early on
