The event was headlined by band Chasing Shadows.

North Wales Chronicle:

Tracey Kerfoot, one of the organisers, said: "Castell Beat was opened by cllr Arwel Roberts, mayor of Rhuddlan, and his wife. The event goes from strength to strength.

"Despite a grey dismal start, the sun shone again for us and we welcomed many families and friends to the field.

"Entertainment was provided with 15 local artists who all gave their time for free.

"This year were are making donations to CLIC Sargent and a local family undergoing treatment as well as Ysgol Y Castell PTA.

"It has been another great success. We are waiting to tie up a couple of loose ends before we can announce the final figure raised," Tracey added.

"We had lots of stalls on the day, including The Osborne Trust and Jesters childcare.

"Howl at the Moon attended with their Disney crew and we played Rock and Roll Bingo which was thoroughly entertaining."
