FANS of classical music have only until October to wait for another jam packed, eclectic mix of live music heading well into the new year.

Rhyl Music Club’s 2019-20 International Concert Series returns once again in the autumn with another 12 spellbinding concerts celebrating global artists of an international standard.

To launch the season on Wednesday, October 2, the outstanding London based, North Wales bred A5 Quintet – a spin off of the club’s Inspire programme and Winners of the 2017 & 2018 National Eisteddfod Open Ensemble Competition –will return to their home turf for another unmissable concert.

Also returning to the fold in October is frequent RMC performer the masterful soloist John Lenehan who will be accompanied by the internationally recognized clarinetist Joy Farrell and cellist Caroline Dearnley and the BBC Young Musician of the Year 2010 pianist Lara Melda.

Bringing the year to a close, the Young Musicians Concert will celebrate exceptional North Walian talent on Wednesday, November 13, followed by an experimental evening exploring the Life of Chopin on Wednesday 27 with Polish pianist Alicja and, the Welsh Chamber Orchestra on December 11 also featuring the return of young musician Louie McIver for a Mozart Violin Concerto.

Heading into 2020, there's plenty to look forward to with performances by Jonathan Radford and Ashley Fripp on Wednesday, January 8,the youngest member of the McLachlan Music clan from Chetham’s School of Music Rose McLachlan on Wednesday 22, counter tenor Hamish McLaren on Wednesday, February 5, the Victoria String Quartet on Wednesday 19 and a piano cello combo with Emma Abbate and Evva Mizerska on Wednesday, March 4.

To close the season, the North Wales section of the 200 strong Only Boys Aloud movement will come together a fitting and rousing finale.
