EVERYONE'S favourite South Walian funny man is set to blaze into Rhyl with the power of one million candles.

Tickets are on sale from Tuesday morning at 10 am to catch the multi-award-winning comedian Rhod Gilbert's new show The Book of John at the Pavilion at the pavilion in July.

Following a six-year break from stand-up, the Welsh wonder is set to embark upon a full UK tour this year, including two shows at London’s Eventim Apollo, and five shows at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena.

A lot has happened to Rhod since he last toured. Almost all of it less than ideal. However, just when he thought he’d hit rock bottom, he met a bloke - called John.

This show sees Rhod explain this amazing occurrence like never before in raw, personal and brutally honest terms. Have no fear though, he's even sharper and funnier than ever before

As one of the UK’s leading stand-up comedy talents, he has enjoyed many successful years as a star of television and radio and has appeared countless times on QI, Would I Lie to You? and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

He has amassed eight series of his hugely popular Rhod Gilbert’s Work Experience, is the current host of BBC2’s The Apprentice: You’re Fired and is the former host of Never Mind the Buzzcocks. He is currently appearing in the new series of the Bafta award-winning Taskmaster.

Rhod is also a regular guest host of BBC's Have I Got News for You?, and has hosted Live at The Apollo on multiple occasions and has twice performed on The Royal Variety Performance.

To see another, rawer side of Rhod, head to the Pavilion on Thursday, July 18 at 8pm.

Tickets are £29.50, to book call the box office on 01745 330000 or visit rhylpavilion.co.uk.
