A POIGNANT Remembrance Sunday has taken place in Prestatyn, marking 100 years since the signing of the Armistice to end the First World War.
At 9.30am, a service of remembrance took place at the Church of the Holy Spirit, on Victoria Road.
Then, a service was also be held at 10.45am at Christ Church, High Street, and a two-minute silence was observed by the town war memorial, with the Royal British Legion bugler and standard.
At 3pm, a civic service of remembrance with a parade by uniformed organisation will leave from Christ Church, High Street.
This will be supported by politicians.
Members of the Royal British Legion will lay wreaths and there will be a roll of honour.
